I would like to take this opportunity to wish HAPPY NEW YEAR 2012...may we continue to strive in becoming better muslims in the coming year & bring more blessings from the Almighty, Insya Allah...:-)
In conjunction with the new year, we would like to extend the Playgroup Registration Promo...
Yes, we extended it to give more people the opportunity to join us once they have settled with the older siblings at school...so that many would benefit from this programme...:-).
Not only that, we also have this...
Those attending the trial would join GROUP 2 who will be learning about animals. It sure is exciting!!
So don't miss this opportunity in providing the best for our kids. See you soon at ALIMkids Playgroup Wangsa Maju, insya allahh...:-)
May this last Friday of 2011 gives us peace & time to reflect on ourselves before the coming of new year 2012…J
Insya Allah our playgroup will resume on 7th January 2011. GROUP 1 will start fresh with Module 1 (MYSELF) & GROUP 2 will be doing Module 4 (ANIMAL KINGDOM). Registration is now open, so make your choice quick & decide which group you would like to join.
If you want to start from the beginning without missing any module, you can join GROUP 1. This group would also be more suitable for younger toddlers (18-36mo) as they would be made aware of themselves first before anything. The module could give them ways to explore their bodies & what they can do with it through singing, playing & doing crafts.
Here is the schedule for Module 1:
If you have preschoolers (3-4yo), may be joining GROUP 2 for Module 4 would be better. At that stage, they are more eager to discover & investigate further. So introducing animals to them in quite a structured manner in the playgroup would be a way to satisfy their quest for knowledge & new experience. It could also be as a weekend activity for those who have actually gone for kindy.
And here is the schedule for Module 4:
Doesn’t matter which module or group you decide to join, the choice is yours. Give teacher Fiza a call while the places are still available & the promotion still on. Either way, definitely you have made the right choice by selecting ALIMkids Playgroup as your child’s early childhood programme.
Assalamualaikum all. Hope today is better than yesterday in the quest of finding HIS barakah wa rahmah, Insya Allahh...:-)
Teacher Fiza has a special & important announcement to make...especially for those who missed our free preview last weekend; that is.....
Yess...only RM10 for a trial class this Saturday on the said time. Your child will be learning about oval shape together with GROUP 3 & 'taste' something oval...very much more with less...;-). So, don't miss it & give teacher Fiza a call quick to book your place.
On top of that, this week's session would be the last session for 2011 (except for the most exciting one on the 23rd...just wait!!). We will have a two-weeks break for everybody to sort things out for the new year. Our playgroup sessions would resume on 7th January 2012, Insya Allah. Thus, the registration is now opened with a special promotion...
Yess...you got it right. The payment made will cover the first two modules for 4 months...in fact, you will have 1 session free PLUS the free gifts. So what are you waiting for? Call teacher Fiza & register now...
Alhamdulillah...the preview went well. A BIG THANK YOU for parents who came with your child(s). We started with du'a & the ever famous "Good Morning" song. The kids were quite shy in the beginning but as the session progressed, they started to open up & became comfortable in no time.
Here are a few pictures during the session (thanks to sister Hani who came over for the pictures!)...
Drawing their palm using crayons before they coloured it..
Look, I can draw!..with daddy's/mommy's help that is....:-)
Lemme do it all by myself, mommy....
The parachute play that they liked the most....weeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee!!!
After they were all done, snacks were served (alas, no photos!)...baked macaroni & chocolate moist cuppies..Alhamdulillahhh....
Once again, teacher Fiza would like to extend her deepest gratitude for those who took the time & made the effort to come for the preview last Saturday. Hope to see all of you in January 2012, Insya Allahhh...:-)
How are you doing people? Hope everything is going on smoothly under HIS care & blessing no matter where you are.
I know it's been AGES since I last wrote here. But that doesn't mean I've neglected this blog & also the playgroup. All updates are on FB since it's faster & more convenient. In the meantime, the love for it has grown fonder & now we have expanded. Yess, expanded....and that means we have the WHOLE OF ALIMkids PROGRAMMES HERE IN WANGSA MAJU!! It hasn't been that easy, but somehow we managed & the rest is from HIM the Almighty, alhamdulillah. Our main mission is to make the programmes more & more reachable to people so that many would benefit from it.
Thus, I humbly would like to invite everybody out there to come to our ALIMkids Bookshop Wangsa Maju's Open day this SUNDAY, 11th December 2011. Details are as follows...
Don't know where we are? We are at 67-1, Jalan 2/27F, Pusat Bandar Wangsa Maju (KLSC), Wangsa Maju Seksyen 5, 53300 KL. It's near Carrefour & Wangsa Walk, behind Genius Aulad Wangsa Maju, down the same road as MomsLittleOnes Wangsa Maju (MLO) where we were before, & Cosy Place Restaurant, opposite pondok polis rakan cop, 1st floor, old building. Long-winded & confused? Hehe..don't be. Just look for the banner outside the premise...
So mark your calendar & do pay us a visit this Sunday on our Open Day. Together we share what we have to offer at ALIMkids...^_^
Masya Allah...without we realising it, it's been a month plus since the last post. Hopefully everything is okay for everybody.....
I just want to draw your attention to this....
"Allah gave me my children, and at the end of the day, I will return them to Him. In what condition do I want to return them to Him? How far different will they be as compared with the day they were born?"
Stumbled upon it when I was reading an article on homeschooling by Maria Zain & it really made me think....deeply. So what do you think? I think the playgroup has given me the opportunity to at leastplay a little role in establishing good values in the little khalifahs, be it from the the child's development or Islamic view. May Allah give us the strength, patience & wisdom to take care of our children so that they will returned to the Creator in the same condition, if not better than the day they were born....amin Insya Allah...
So, let's play another little role of ours that has already become our routine with our child....the playgroup sessions. Don't forget that IT WILL BE ON as usual. Teacher Fiza just can't wait to see you guys after one week break....
Oh yess...& I just wanna share this wonderful write upfrom one of the mommies in Group 1. Perhaps you could also read & share her breastfeeding experience too....
I bet dealing with our kids everyday, especially toddlers, are fun. They will always have something to say, to do, to explore & to experiment. Those are the things that can make our day, cheer us up or even drive us mad. More often than not, whey they do drive us mad, we would yell or shout at them in anger & disagreement on whatever they do. Personally, I myself is no exception. And I hate & regret it after that...
Then, a friend of mine shared this article & I've practised it since...if not all, a few of it. So now I share it here for other parents to share. May it will help us in educating & bringing up our children to be a great little khalifahs, Insya Allah...
1. Breathe: Feeling like losing your mind? Inhale and exhale until you are fine. You may want to walk away from the scene. In Islam, we are also taught that if you started to feel angry, sit if you stand, lie if you sit. And put off the fire with water (wudhu).
2. Address the behaviour: When you’re teaching your children to ride their bikes, do you punish them when they don’t get it the first try? Of course not. You encourage them, support them, and give them guidance. The same goes to teach them what’s right and what’s wrong.
3. Mean business without being mean: tell them what you wanted them to do, firmly and with love.
4. Help your kids to understand their feelings: teach our children how to effectively express themselves by validating their feelings without validating their behaviour.
5. Have Clear Rules & Follow Through: Do not threat them. Show them the consequences of not following the rules.
6. Give praise for okay behaviour: Pay attention to your kids especially when they show good behaviour. Kids would do anything to get you focus.
7. A strong bond makes discipline easier: the closer you are to your child, the less likely your child is to act up, even though no child is perfect.
8. Put yourself in their shoes: No one loves to be yelled at. Kids have feelings too.
9. Good eating & sleeping habits: Kids will act up when they are hungry and tired. Keep well-balanced diet and good sleep. Parents included. Everybody will be happy when they are full and fresh.
10. We’re not perfect: To err is human. But do explain to your kids why do you yell when you have cooled down. Tell them that if they cooperate, so will you.
Hope everybody is in the pink of health under HIS care & blessings amidst all the things that needs to be done.
Personally, I was quite occupied lately (which has driven her to quite stressful situations, especially at work)...& that was the main reason why was the blog remained silent.
Anyway, now the situation is a little better so hopefully I can give some attention to update the blog on a more regular basis..
Though the blog was silent, it was all the opposite at the playgroup. We took part at the Smart Kids 2011exhibition in PWTC last month & as the aftermath, the playgroup now has already 3 groups ....yeayy....alhamdulillahhh....
So starting from this Saturday, GROUP 3 is officially on board from 12.30pm - 1.30pm. We still have a few more spots to offer, so check us out to find out more...& bet you know who to call...
Till then, may you guys are always blessed by HIS Almighty & take care...
Insya Allah teacher Fiza will be meeting you guys again this Saturday as usual ya...:
GROUP 1 @ 10-11am...& GROUP 2 @ 11.30am-12.00pm...
GROUP 1 will be doing activities under topic 4 of Module 2, I Love Grandma & Grandpa; while GROUP 2 will be doing topic 2 of the same module, I Love Daddy.
Just in case if you are wondering where are pictures from the previous sessions, actually teacher Fiza is a little bit tight up with work this week. Thus, the pictures will be uploaded next week together with the latest session...insya allahhh...
May everyone is always under the care & blessing of ALLAH the Almighty, Insya Allah.
So here are some pictures that teacher Fiza managed to take during the sessions last Saturday...
GROUP 1 was doing activities under the topic I Love Daddy. For the arts & crafts, they made a special No. 1 Dad trophy for their fathers. But alas...teacher Fiza forgot to bring the painting brush & the pallette, so ended up the kids had to paint using their cute, small fingers (or better still, mommies fingers!) & the colours poured onto a polistrene plate instead. On top of it, there was no electricity in the premise for about 10 minutes or so that the session need to be carried out in front amidst all the merchandise...*sigh. As humans, we can only plan but the rest is up to the Almighty. So we need to always be prepared with a back up plan to come up with...
Thank you very much for all mommies & little khalifahs for bearing with me in times like this...
Despite all the hiccups, the birthday cake & the small double birthday celebration was what the kids were waiting for. HAPPY 4th BIRTHDAY to ELISHA (9/3) & HAPPY 3rd BIRTHDAY to ALIAH (18/3)...
As for GROUP 2, there were only 3 of them turned out. Although it was the last session on Module 1, teacher Fiza didn't give out the certificate of completion yet as it wouldn't be much them without all of them present. So here are pictures of them present while making binoculars under the topic I Can See...
A quick announcement for parents of GROUP 2. Starting from this week, our session will start at 11.30AM. This is to give teacher Fiza some time to refresh after the 1st session & to get ready for YOUR session...
Another announcement is that there are 2 more spots for trial session this week on 11.30AM. Since this is the start of the 2nd module (title My Family & Friends), it would be good to have new members.... So, don't miss out the fun ya...
So what is it about the things happening tomorrow (12/03/2011)?...
For GROUP 1, we are going to do activities in Topic 2 of Module 2, I Love Daddy. Make sure you don't miss this & please come on time because we are going to have a small birthday party right after the session...yeayy!!
And for GROUP 2, we are also going to have a small party to mark the end of Module 1 where teacher Fiza will give you your certificate of completion....alhamdulillahhh!!...
But we are going to start a little bit late, i.e @ 11.30am. So, don't miss it yaa...
Teacher Fiza is really looking forward to meeting all of little khalifahs tomorrow for another fun time, Insya Allah...
Alhamdulillahhh...we are progressing very well with the playgroup so far. GROUP 1 has started the 1st session (I Love Mommy) of Module 2 (My Family & Friends). For this 1st session, little khalifahs tried finger play & sang to "Where's Thumbkin". They got their little fingers drawn with faces to indicate brother (thumb), mother (point finger), father (middle finger), sister (ring finger) & baby (pinkie). They also sang a song for mommies while waving ribbon streamers. To show how much they love their mommies, they made a special flower crown for their beloved mother...
In the meantime, GROUP 2 was in the 7th session under the topic I Can Smell. They tested their sense of smell by smelling different types of items that teacher Fiza brought to class. The result...they can react to the smell they like or dislike...alhamdulillahh. For the arts & crafts session, they made a paper plate elephant with a looooong nose...
Alhamdulillahhh....we'll start Module 2 with GROUP 1 tomorrow, 5th March 2011. We just have 1 more spot for trial or perhaps to join straight in. The title for Module 2 is My Family & Friends. The 1st topic for this module would be I Love Mummy. So little khalifahs in GROUP 1...be ready to be attached even more with your mummy tomorrow...
For GROUP 2, we will further explore parts of your body by experimenting what your nose could do under the topic I Can Smell. We also still have 3 spots for trial. So hurry up...
Just wanna share the picture of last week's session for Group 2 under the topic I Can Hear.
In this session, little khalifahs were introduced to the phrase Masya Allah. During Active Play, they were introduced to the rhythm sticks & how they hold it could produce different sounds (i.e soft & loud). For the Art & Craft time, they made a noise shaker with the help from mommies of course.
While Group 2 was doing this, Group 1 was actually taking a break before they start Module 2...:)
Assalamualaikum parents of little khalifahs & all,
This place has been quite quiet for already some time! Thousand apologies for that matter as teacher Fiza has to juggle the playgroup among so many other things...
So, little khalifahs in Group 1 have had their mini graduation of Module 1 on the 19th February...alhamdulillahhh!!
Congratulations to Athirah, Aliah, Elisha, Hana, Amira & Eiman.
Not In the picture: Iman & Adam.
On that day too, Group 2 proceeded with their 5th session under the topic I Can Touch. They were made to guess what were inside teacher Fiza's mystery bags just by touching them. They also needed to find their way blind folded in order to find their mommies just by using their sense of touch. The best part was when they enjoyed doing the Chicken Dance medley. And this is what they did for their art session...
...a caterpillar using their own finger prints...
Notice the table used in the picture above?? Yesss...teacher Fiza bought little cute tables for the little khalifahs to practice writing, colouring & doing arts & crafts like above...
With this hopefully everybody will be more comfortable & eager to come to class...
Do not forget our 'date' this Saturday as usual ya...
Insya Allah we will do a small remembrance of Prophet Muhammad's SAW birthday (with story telling, colouring & salawat) before Group 1 mini graduation for having completed Module 1 ...alhamdulillahhh...
Group 2 are also welcomed but of course you need to come earlier at 10AM...
The session for Group 2 will go on as usual right after that. This week, we will be exploring your sense of touch. So come fresh as teacher Fiza will do lots of fun & interesting activities with you....
Just wanna update few pictures during last week's sessions...
Group 1 is making binoculars under the topic 'I Can See'. Actually, there was a slight technical error while making the binoculars which took so long...sorry guys! Other than this craft session, little khalifahs had fun in the reading circle and also did the 'Chicken Dance'...
This session also marks the end of Module 1...alhamdulillahh...
Meanwhile for Group 2, they were having fun making their apple collage under the topic 'I Can Taste' & also tracing the alphabets 'a' & 'b'. They also did the 'Chicken Dance'. But teacher Fiza had forgotten to bring real apples to be tasted which would have made the lesson more interesting & meaningful....sigh...
Anyway, hopefully little khalifahs still had fun alright with friends...
